The Harriest of Potters…
Ok. that was pretty bad…
But we got our copy from the local B&N – waited in line like good HP fans. After 7 books, these guys have the whole thing down. We were there for an hour. Waited for our “color” to be called. Watched as a 6ft tall teenage girl leave her dad in the dust to get her place in line…
Stood in line for 10 minutes. Cracked jokes at the Hillary Rodham-Clinton book (Look! Professor Umbridge!), the sinewy route to the registers through the clearance books (A book about napkin folding! And it’s only $5.98!), and the “Most Evil Pirates” book which seemed to include all of ‘em. And after the orderly melee, hubs ran into the parking lot with the book aloft screaming “YES! We got it! My nipples have never been this hard!” And cackling all the way to our jeep.
And to further illustrate how odd my hubs & I are, he will begin reading the book to me in bed tonight until I fall asleep. And we’ll do this almost every night ’till the book is finished. Inevitably he’ll have to re-read the last few pages where I’ll drift off every night. If we didn’t do this, I’d be done with it at 4 am this morning. But this is the last HP book, so I figure we’d best prolong the enjoyment.
