Been making stuff like crazy for the Big Shanty Festival next month. I also ‘got accepted’ to sell my things at the Art House in Decatur – so I need to make sure I have a few things for them too.
This is a book I made yesterday. Inside is 36 pages of hand-torn Stonehenge paper (it’s gorgeous!). I gocco’d some bookcloth with a bird pattern I drew. It’s really cute. I should probably make a few more of these.
I had a little problem securing the elastic since it was an afterthought. Next time I should either make the spine wider or secure the elastic as part of the binding… I’ll play around w/ it a bit more.
This one is another book I made yesterday – or finally bound yesterday. The covers are hand-painted & hand-stamped.

Hubs just dug up an old flier I made in college for my radio show.
I completely forgot, but I called it “The Sweater Confederacy”.
*facepalm*
Was I really that emo? (frame of reference: I went to college from 1995-1999)

Today was a good day, despite the fact that for some reason I thought “Photograph” was sung by Poison instead of Def Leppard. My husband gave me a royal lecture on the difference between the two. To me, a hair band is a hair band is a hair band…
you may start slinging arrows…
A list of things we did written on a date due slip with a dip fountain pen w/ dr. Ph martin’s india ink, stamp, metal star & a watercolor wash.

So nothing new today, except for the admission that I didn’t follow through… I was doing so well and dropped it on the last day.
I suppose that *is* something new… and that would definitely be stretching it.
It’s been a fun ride… challenging, for sure.
I enjoyed everyone’s work on thing-a-day.com (i still think the URL could have been a bit more elegant), and it’s made me realize that creating something every day is possible. I will continue as consistently as possible.
