Week 2 of the Creative Act – Day 8 … a head.

This week’s theme is soft. I thought I’d start with a softie, or art doll… or whatever

I found a tiny less-than-passport size old photo for 50cents at an antique store and scanned him, did some photoshop extraction a while back and printed him out on some canvas today.

Then sewed on a little hat & glued on a pompom I’d made.

The next few days I’ll make his body.

Today was also my first day as a full member of the North Cobb Arts League. I attended a “meeting” which was supposed to be a slideshow travelogue of this woman’s trip to Tuscany, but she couldn’t get the DVD working. So she described her trip… I was hoping for more interaction with the other artists. Perhaps next month.
