The Creative Act – Day 7

Last day of week 1, last “red” thing.

had some paper bags laying around, so I cut a small piece and started feeding it through the tiny craft sewing machine I have. Somehow the thread kept on slipping out of the needle (there’s only one spool, no bobbin) so I got lots of neat holes.

I used some oil pastels to smear a bit more red around and embroidered the “Red” with pearl cotton.

It seems a little unfinished to me, but I could probably mess with it for another hour or so… i already put in about 30 minutes.

As for the next theme… I’m thinking of sticking with the one-word theme again and making “Soft” things – not necessarily out of soft material, although I think I’ll end up doing lots of fabric stuff next week.
