I woke up at 7:30 am with this image in my head… well, CLOSE to this image. I’ve got a ways to go to get what I create to match what’s in my head.

I didn’t have to wake up ’till 8:45am but this image wouldn’t go away and I could not rest until it was done… so here it is. a red door.

My theme for this week is “red”… and i started out w/ a red pod watercolor painting in my watercolor moleskine.

The Creative Act – Week 1

I’ve decided to do something that’ll really stretch me this month. The Creative Act is a challenge to create one thing a day during the month of February, each week choosing a new theme.

This week my theme is “Red” just because I couldn’t think of anything profound like “cognitive dissonance” or “social misfits”…

My entry for 2.1 is a watercolor and as soon as I can get GIMP installed* on my mac mini we’ll be in business. I’ll upload everything to my flickr account and make a new set specifically for this.

*hubs finally got photoshop working again… no need to struggle with xdarwin & gimp!
